World’s Doomsday
17:00
Looking outside the window,
The sky is gray, a tweak of
Light passing through the clouds.
Somebody said the world
Would end tomorrow..
A shiver from that thought.
Heaven or Hell?
Yet my heart was saddened by
The doubt
whether –
I might have a glance of your
Face or hear the ripples of
Your laughter
Before earth swallows me whole
Or a shower of fire consumes the
Earth..
00:00
The clock strikes at 12 ..
Still watching the pale moon
Wondering if it will ever turn red
Like what is written in the Book
Wondering if the moon is beaming
On your face while you are asleep
Hoping it might bring you dreams
of the forgotten past
When we too sat at the same spot
Where I am now..
Listening to the night’s wind lullaby
staring at the moon.
01:00
A faint breeze blows my
Face… deadly silence..
The moon casting a pale shadow
On the ground…
Another day has past
a sigh of relief escapes my breath
for the moon is still pale white,
and the crickets are still making
their tune.
And tomorrow, maybe tomorrow
I might finally meet the Reason
Why the world shouldn’t end yet.
